Full Steam

So I was asked a while back to be part of the Steampunk fashion show at Anime North 2010, problem was I had nothing to wear... Liana then informed me she wanted me to wear something of hers again, DEAL!

I had a blast doing the steampunk fashion show again, the show was split into to themes; Hetalia and Alice in Wonderland. This costume was from the Hetalia portion, I was portraying the Netherlands or more specifically the Dutch East India Trading Company (VOC).

Holland is a strong strategist and world-dominating type. The 17th century was Hollands Golden Age due to the success of its merchant class, wold class science, art and famous East India Trading Company. The VOC strategically dominated the trade industry buying and selling much of the markets good. Holland was chosen to be represented as a 'pirate' due to its strong naval holds as well as its monopoly on trade.
