Costume Construction:

The bodysuit is made entirely using swimwear fabrics and is ready to wear in the water when/if I want. The bodysuit is made using a mystery swimwear fabric I found that has a slight shine to it, the suit is fully lined in swim liner. I inset Carol's symbol using metallic gold spandex. The red sash is made using polyester lining fabric, I wanted to sash to be light and catch the wind.
I found a great leather look spandex that I'm in love with (the stretch is FANTASTIC) I use it to make the gloves and boots. The boots are sewn into a pair of dance tights to stop them from riding down as well as creating a seamless appearance. My mask is made using craft foam heat formed to my face then painted with black nailpolish.

I must say, your Warbird is one my my all time favorites.

I just recently made my first attempt at cosplaying her, and had a horrible experience with the boots I made. Sewing them into a pair of dance tights.... brilliant. Was it difficult? Can you tell me a bit more of your technique you did? I may have to try it next time. Other than making a huge mess with spirit gum, only for it to fail. Lol

Its not very difficult to do, but I don't think I can explain it very well without visual aid .... I should make a tutorial. I WILL MAKE A TUTORIAL FOR YOU!

That would be AMAZING and would help so much! I also feel like it will motivate me to actually remake this and try again, rather then stressing over it trying to get it to work. But thank you! :D

And I just realized I had already posted a comment not too long ago saying something similar. Now I just feel ridiculous. lol

Great idea with the dance tights! Truly seamless effect (and extra coverage prevents wardrobe malfunction worries)!! Looks super comfy AND fabulous!

Thanks :)
The less adjustments to do throughout the day the better!

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. Carol Danvers is my all time favorite (especially as Warbird) and I feel like you totally captured her. Great job! I also loooove how you are not wearing stiletto heels... one of the things I cannot stand when people cosplay her.

Love it!

The boots are an awesome idea! I made myself a Zantanna costume but that would be awesome for the boots!
